Eligibility Requirements
All applicants for the scholarship program must:
- Be 18 years of age or over;
- Be able to attend a weekly 3-hour Instructor Led workshop at your registered regional location for the full 12-week duration of the course, starting Saturday, 21 February 2026;
- Have strong proficient English (both written and verbal);
- Have completed the Higher School Certificate equivalent school qualification, or be able to demonstrate prior work experience;
- Be available to attend and complete pre-tax season Tax Consultant training in June 2026 as required.
- Be prepared to work as a tax consultant with H&R Block at the completion of the course in a local regional location, and available to work flexible hours (including some nights or weekends) between 1 July and 31 October 2026;
- Not be currently working as a tax consultant or tax agent;
- Be willing to undergo a police check.
Selection process:
- All candidates will be contacted within 7 days of submission and may be invited to attend a one-on-one interview.
- Scholarships will be awarded based on the applicant’s ability to meet the listed requirements, interview performance, referee statements, and demonstrated commitment to learning and working for H&R Block.
