Office Manager - VIC

Location: Kew East

JOB OVERVIEW

We have an opportunity for the position of Office Manager in the Kew East Office, in the Melbourne 5 District. It is a year round office, with approximately 2000 returns and reduced hours in the off season.

The Office Manager is responsible for the growth of their office and ensuring a first-class client experience, by driving a high-performance sales culture and developing staff capability.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

As an office manager you will be:

  • Required to be available for a minimum 38 hours per week during peak tax season.
  • An experienced tax consultant, gained over a minimum amount of tax seasons.
  • Professionally presented.
  • Articulate and customer focused.
  • A strong communicator setting a clear direction on office goals and team performance.

The office manager must:

  • Have a high level of computer literacy, interpersonal skills and proven quality tax preparation skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop others.
  • Have attended and continue attending H&R Block’s Tax Training plus all other training requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive growth in the number of tax returns, volume, contribution margin and labor productivity, in line with the office plan.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to all Associates within their office, to ensure we truly understand our clients’ needs and deliver the right solution.
  • Develop a repeat and referral culture by providing a professional service, at all stages of the sales process.
  • Promote ‘Specialised Advisory Services’ to add value to the client experience.
  • Drive team motivation through effective communication and sales hustle.
  • Execute Marketing plans including, National programs, and Local Area Marketing and community engagement activities.
  • Ensure that the office and team members are always presented at the highest standard.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Tax returns, volume, contribution margin in line with the office plan.
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) target as defined.
  • Compliance with the ‘office review action’ plan.
  • Number of referrals to Special Advisory Services

Tax Consultant - NSW

Location: Hornsby

JOB OVERVIEW

Tax Consultant will be required to work with clients at the Hornsby office, preparing tax returns under the supervision of a Registered Tax Agent.

Opportunity for year round employment may exist for the right candidate.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must be experienced in the preparation of all types of tax returns including Individual, Small Business, Rental Property and Partnership returns. 

Applicant should be well spoken and well presented with excellent people skills and the ability to adapt to working autonomously and as part of the team.

Proficient in the use of MYOB is preferred, although training will be provided.
