Location: Hornsby

JOB OVERVIEW

Tax Consultant will be required to work with clients at the Hornsby office, preparing tax returns under the supervision of a Registered Tax Agent.

Opportunity for year round employment may exist for the right candidate.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must be experienced in the preparation of all types of tax returns including Individual, Small Business, Rental Property and Partnership returns. 

Applicant should be well spoken and well presented with excellent people skills and the ability to adapt to working autonomously and as part of the team.

Proficient in the use of MYOB is preferred, although training will be provided.

  • We are dealing with clients both face to face and on the phone so high level written and verbal communication skills are required
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in taxation (previous experience within a tax specialist firm will be highly regarded)
  • Proven experience with preparing income tax returns for a range of entities
  • Ability to multi-task quickly, accurately with minimal supervision
  • Detail orientated and analytical abilities with good mathematical skills
  • Ability to develop client rapport and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

JOB OVERVIEW

Administration Assistant - Accounting and Taxation practice
We are looking for an experienced Administration Assistant to join our front office team at H&R Block Bondi Junction.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities in this role:
  • Communication with the clients including writing and drafting of client letters and emails.
  • Liaising with the ATO, following up queries on behalf of the team
  • Setting up and updating clients using HandiSoft and in the ASIC portal
  • Scanning, filing and distribution of mail and collation of documents
  • File management
  • Create invoices and process payments
  • Debt Collection
  • Sending out financial reports and statements and Income tax returns
  • Ordering of office supplies
  • General administration and reception duties as requested by the partners  
 Skills and personal attributes required:
  • Must have worked in administration in an Accounting firm for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Great attention to detail and organised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Handisoft Experience
  • Permanent resident or Australian citizen
